Device setup guide

Fire TV / Fire TV Stick

Use these steps only on a compatible device that reports Fire OS. The current BoomBox TV Android app cannot be installed on Vega OS.

Compatible Fire OS setup

Example streaming stick and remote
Check the operating system, not just the remote. Fire OS models use this path. Vega OS models do not run the current BoomBox Android app.

  1. Open Settings → My Fire TV or Device & Software → About. Write down the device name, model, and operating system shown.
  2. If the device is a Fire TV Stick 4K Select (2025), Fire TV Stick HD (2026), or reports Vega OS, stop here and contact BoomBox support.
  3. Return to the home screen. Search the Amazon Appstore for Downloader, install it if it is available, and open it once.
  4. Return to Settings → My Fire TV or Device & Software. If Developer Options is hidden, open About, highlight the device name, press the remote’s Select button seven times, and go back one screen.
  5. Open Developer Options → Install Unknown Apps or Apps from Unknown Sources. Allow Downloader only. ADB Debugging is not required for this setup.
  6. Open Downloader, enter the official BoomBox TV code 4556570, and select the BoomBox TV APK download.
  7. Choose Install, and then open the app.
  8. After installation, return to the unknown-apps setting and turn the Downloader permission back off.

Stop if the device does not match

Vega OS is not compatible. If Developer Options or Install Unknown Apps does not appear after the steps above, do not use an alternate bypass—send the exact model and OS to BoomBox support.

Install only the official file

An unknown-app warning is expected for an APK installed outside the Amazon Appstore. Continue only after code 4556570 opens the BoomBox TV download. If it shows an unrelated page or file, stop and contact support.
