Android setup steps

  1. Confirm that the device runs Android. Do not use these steps on an iPhone or iPad.
  2. Open only the official BoomBox TV setup link supplied directly by support, then download the APK.
  3. Tap the completed download. If Android asks for permission, open Settings and enable Allow from this source for the browser or file app that opened the APK.
  4. Return to the downloaded APK and choose Install.
  5. Open BoomBox TV and contact support if you need help with the next step.
  6. After installation, turn Allow from this source back off for the browser or file app.

Install safely

If Android blocks the file, contact support. Do not turn off Play Protect or bypass Android developer verification.

Using an iPhone or iPad?

Use the VU IPTV Player instructions below. The BoomBox Android APK is for Android devices.

iPhone / iPad setup

Use VU IPTV Player with your BoomBox service.

Get VU IPTV Player on the App Store ↗

Look for VU IPTV PLAYER by Byte9 Inc. Check the App Store for device requirements and any in-app purchases.

  1. Install VU IPTV Player from the App Store.
  2. Contact BoomBox support for your M3U URL—your personal playlist link.
  3. Open VU IPTV Player and choose its M3U URL option. Paste the link supplied by BoomBox.
  4. Save the playlist and open it to start watching. Menu names may vary by app version.

A compatible third-party player

VU IPTV Player is a third-party app, not owned or developed by BoomBoxTV. It is compatible with the M3U URL supplied by BoomBox.

Keep your personal M3U link private. Contact BoomBox for the link or help connecting your service.

Proton VPN works on iPhone, too.

For added connection privacy, connect Proton VPN before opening VU IPTV Player. Check that the VPN says Connected.

In Proton VPN settings, choose WireGuard (UDP) for the BoomBox playback setup. On a paid plan, turn NetShield off for these playback settings; this disables its filtering while keeping VPN encryption on.

The Android “Include BoomBoxTV” step does not apply on iPhone. Proton VPN does not offer split tunneling on iOS.
