Smart TV

“Smart TV” describes many different operating systems. Identify the television platform before downloading anything.

Identify your setup path

Example Smart TV
The TV brand alone does not determine compatibility. Find the operating system in Settings or About before installing anything.
  1. Open Settings → System, Device Preferences, Support, or About. Write down the TV brand, model, and operating system.
  2. If it identifies itself as Google TV or Android TV, use the Google TV / Android TV setup guide.
  3. If it identifies itself as a built-in Fire TV, first confirm that it runs compatible Fire OS, then use the Fire TV setup guide.
  4. If it uses Roku TV, Xumo TV, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Vizio, or another non-Android platform, do not install the BoomBox Android APK directly on the television.
  5. For the preferred, reliable setup, connect a compatible Fire OS or Google TV / Android TV device to an available HDMI port.

Roku and Xumo are not directly compatible

If IPTV Smarters Pro or another compatible player is already installed, support may review that edge case after you provide the exact player name and TV model. Do not purchase or install a third-party player for this exception unless BoomBox support first confirms it. A compatible HDMI device remains the recommended path.

Compatibility comes first

The words “Smart TV” do not guarantee Android-app support. If the operating system is not shown or the menu names differ, stop before changing security settings and send the exact model to BoomBox support.
